Our Welcome Culture
Anyone starting a new job has a lot of questions: Where is my workplace? Who are my contacts? And where do I get office supplies? New employees should feel at home from day one. Leibniz IPHT has a comprehensive welcome management system to ensure this. We support our new employees – especially those who come from far away – in all aspects of starting work at Leibniz IPHT.
Each new employee is assigned a “Welcome Guide”. These are colleagues from the same department or the line managers themselves who take care of your arrival in advance. On your first day, you will be introduced to the team and the Welcome Guide will give you a tour of the Institute to give you a first impression of your new working environment.
Our Welcome Manager will help you deal with the authorities, find accommodation and arrange language courses. We also organise welcome meetings to get to know each other and share ideas so that everyone can settle in quickly and feel at home.
