Knowledge and Technology Transfer

Science for the good and benefit of society: Leibniz IPHT pursues this objective in the spirit of the scientific ideal theoria cum praxi formulated by Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Scientists respond to society’s needs and to topical questions in the fields of health, medicine, environment and security. They are working on solutions for urgent challenges of our time.

Leibniz IPHT is committed to making these research results effective for society; for example, as a basis for political decision-making processes and technological innovations. The involvement of future users in the research process promotes the effective transfer of technologies, such as for medicine. Researchers at Leibniz IPHT conduct science from basic research to the development of a prototype — from Ideas to Instruments.

Leibniz IPHT promotes knowledge transfer on several levels: in international scientific exchange, in the training and promotion of young scientists, and in dialog with society.
