The renowned American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) admitted Professor Jürgen Popp, scientific director at IPHT and director of the Institute for Physical Chemistry at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, into its College of Fellows. Jürgen Popp was selected based on his significant contributions in the development and clinical application of Raman spectroscopy in the field of infection diagnostics. The ceremonial induction was held in Washington D.C., U.S.A., on April 4, 2016.
