The Thuringian Research Award was presented yesterday to a group of scientists at IPHT in the category of “Applied Research.” Dr. Riesenberg and his team received this special honor for their work on the development of a miniaturized, lensless microscope. This innovative technology aims at the on-site analysis of blood samples and thus quick medical diagnosis.
