The overarching aim of  ‘HoloSkop’, is to develop minimally invasive endoscopic instruments with footprint matching the size of human hair, therefore applicable through the narrowest hypodermic needles in bio-medical settings. Further development of the enabling holographic methods  will bring significant improvement in imaging performance, especially spatial resolution. The project thus paves the way towards instant in-situ light biopsy, simplifying and accelerating numerous contemporary diagnostic procedures.

The project is funded by the Free State of Thuringia under the number 2020 FGI 0032 with the project executing agency EFRE-TKM.
