Over the course of the next five years, IPHT will be researching a novel endoscope for the quick diagnosis of bladder cancer as part of an EU project. Medical doctors will be able to detect whether and how deep cancer tissue has penetrated the inner wall of the bladder during a routine check-up without having to take a sample.
