Prof. Dr. Jürgen Popp, scientific director at IPHT and professor at the Institute for Physical Chemistry at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, was honored with the Pittsburgh Spectroscopy Award 2016 for his significant contributions in the field of applied spectroscopy. Prof. Popp is the second non-American to receive this prestigious award in its almost sixty-year history. The award ceremony was held on March 8, 2016, as part of the international Pittcon 2016 trade show and conference in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.
