The Yellow project aims to develop novel Raman spectroscopy for biological and biomedical samples in the so-called “Yellow Gap”, for which both the required light source and background-free Raman probes are being researched and developed. For the first time, Dy laser fibres using the Molten Core method will serve as the basis for excitation in order to investigate factors influencing efficiency, performance and stability. The Raman probe is based on hollow-core fibres specially researched and developed for the yellow spectral range.
