The goal of the ESTI research group is to explore sustainable materials for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and organic batteries and to combine them into textile-integrated hybrid systems. The two components are to be converted into flexible, stable and application-oriented textile applications that can autonomously convert solar energy into electrical energy and at the same time store it efficiently and in a decentralized manner suitable for mobile use.

The project on which these results are based was supported by the Free State of Thuringia under the number 2019 FGR 0080 and co-financed by European Union funds within the framework of the European Social Fund (ESF).
