SERS labels conjugated with anti-EpCAM antibodies are used to distinguish breast cancer cells and leukocytes in a microfluidic chip. Raman spectra of leukocytes, SERS-labelled MCF-7 cancer cells and polystyrene beads are collected at 25 milliseconds exposure time in a continuous flow regime demonstrating high throughput capabilities for Raman activated cell sorting.
