The EU-funded ACTPHAST project has set up a center of expertise to offer European SMEs technical support in the innovative field of photonics. The four-year project, launched in November 2018, has brought together research institutes to form a unique focal point to support rapid innovation projects in particular, which involve SME participation and typically last six to nine months. During the course of the project, the IPHT is already successfully cooperating with the companies Fibotec, SUPRACON, Oxsensis and Grintech.

The project is funded by EU Horizon 2020 grant number 779472, H2020-ICT-2016-2017 and co-funded by the EU-H2020 promoter.
