The aim of the project is to understand the influence of a non-instantaneous contribution to the nonlinear temporal response function with respect to the coherence properties of supercontinua generated in liquid-core fibers. The project addresses essentially basic science aspects and the research is in the area of supercontinuum generation.
Coherence has been measured in all-glass fibers. It results in limits with respect to the output powers, which are to be shifted with this project.
Overall, the project aims to demonstrate new nonlinear physics related to coherence within soliton-based SCC based on a waveguide platform incorporating a hybrid temporal response function, which is highly relevant for applications based on single spectra. Thus, the project contributes significantly to the research direction „hybrid fiber“.

The project is funded by EU-H2020 under the number 892232.
