Twisted bilayer graphene, a promising material for optoelectronic applications, offers several effective routes towards electronic structure engineering, e.g. via tuning the relative orientation of the two graphene layers or by varying the distance between them. Twisted bilayer wrinkles combine both of these properties. The lattices of both sides of the wrinkle are aligned with respect to each other and thus form a graphene superlattice. Using Raman spectroscopy, we show that the distance between both walls and thereby the properties of the twisted bilayer wrinkle can be well tuned using temperature, which controllably expands or shrinks the underlying substrate.
