Postdoc / Research Assistant (f/m/d) - Research Department of Nanoscopy

The Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (Leibniz IPHT) offers the above mentioned position (100%) in the Research Department of Nanoscopy starting earliest November 1st 2020.

The position is related to the DFG supported collaborative research center TR 234 CataLight (Project C1) and limited to June 30, 2022.

The Leibniz-IPHT is a university independent research institute with close connection to the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena and member of the Leibniz association.

Job description:
We are looking for a scientist for nano-characterization of structure-function relations of photocatalytic reactions. The aim is the direct, nanometer accurate identification of individual molecular components within complex systems using spectroscopic methods.

Your qualification:
University degree (PhD) in Physics/ Chemistry/ Photonics or comparable.

Your knowledge and skills:

  • Experience in spectroscopic methods
  • Experience with chemical/electrochemical methods
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English

Salary:
German tariffs for public employees (TV-L).
