Legal Counsel
As corporate legal counsel and lawyer to the Leibniz Intitut of Photonic Technologies e. V. I am the contact person for contractual matters or public procurement law, the drafting of complex legal texts or the monitoring of any legal disputes. In addition, I am entrusted with the functions of Compliance Officer, Export Control Officer, Data Protection Coordinator, and officer for the reporting office in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act. My education, which I completed with the 1st and 2nd state law exams, took place at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena and the Regional Court Gera.
In my role as Executive Assistant and Company Lawyer to a litigation financing company, which lasted from April 2008 to January 2019, I was responsible for drafting model contracts and the legal and economic examination of financing inquiries, in addition to handling all company law matters. After an entrepreneurial realignment, I was able to build up this field of activity from scratch.
Between May 2011 and February 2019, I maintained my own law firm as a sideline, which I gave up in favor of my current job at the Leibniz IPHT. Core competence of my local activity was beside the contract design also the general civil law. In addition to small and medium-sized companies, my clientele also included private individuals.
In my spare time, I make music (I've been playing guitar and bass for over 30 years) and do running for a sporty balance with occasional competition participation and play tennis.
