Broadband, diode-pumped Yb:SiO2 multicomponent glass laser

We successfully demonstrated cw lasing of Ytterbium-doped silica multicomponent glas bulk material. A slope efficiency of 43 % and a tuning range from 1010 - 1080 nm have been achieved.
