The Leibniz-IPHT is a university independent research institute with close connection to the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena and member of the Leibniz association.
The candidate will develop hardware/software control systems for custom microscopes based on open source resources for standardization of data collection, Deep Learning protocols for image processing applications and support group members in optimization of related projects and existing solutions.
Responsibilities and tasks:
The candidate should be able to develop complex software applications and hardware systems, video compression, C++/Python and VHDL programming languages. In addition, the candidate should be interested in Machine/Deep Learning topics, imaging sensor architecture and in Biophysical topics.
Your qualification and knowledge:
- Master in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related subject
- Deep knowledge in image processing, data acquisition and/or Hardware Description Languages
