Rainer Heintzmann from Leibniz IPHT in Jena and Ryan Ketterer have been awarded the gold medal at the International Inventors' Fair iENA for their pioneering optical method for green screen technology. In the Microscopy research department, the team has developed a process that allows green screen videos to be created without annoying reflections and semi-transparent objects.

From November 26 to 30, 2023, the fourth edition of the international career workshop "Women in Photonics" took place at Leibniz IPHT in Jena and was a complete success. With a variety of interactive formats, from career reports by leading female scientists and company representatives to intensive coaching and a lively poster session, the event offered 73 young female scientists from different countries a stimulating platform for professional networking.
