Funded by the EU Horizon2020 program FET Open, the Quantum E-Leaps consortium will exploit new macroscopic quantum phenomena realized in superconducting nanowires made of 2D superconductors to achieve a paradigm shift in electrical metrology. The goal is to develop a robust and easy-to-use universal electrical quantum standard on a single chip by exploiting the duality of superconducting physics. Essential to this effort is the demonstration of a proof-of-concept quantum current standard using coherent quantum phase conductors in superconducting nanowires (SNW). Such a science-to-technology breakthrough can bring quantum-enabled accuracy directly to end users.

The project is funded by EU grant Horizon 2020 under the number 862660 and co-funded by the project executing agency EU-H2020.
