The European Industry Doctoral Network IMAGE-IN combines powerful, multi-scale imaging techniques with state-of-the-art data analysis methods to gain deeper insights into infection pathogenesis and host response. These insights will help to better understand infections and characterize the cause of infection in a time-efficient manner to enable personalized treatment.
As a Marie Sklodowska Curie European Training Network, IMAGE-IN provides top-level training to educate the next generation of researchers who can actively advance imaging technology for medical applications, e.g., to provide the basis for new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. PhD students will gain comprehensive insight into medical needs, spectroscopic techniques, and the skills to handle and analyze large, multidimensional data. The IMAGE-IN consortium forms an active network of research institutes, university hospitals and companies in Germany and Portugal that are experts in their field.

The project is funded by EU grant Horizon 2020 under the number 861122 and co-financed by the EU-H2020 MC ITN project management agency.
