The aim of the project is to develop a new type of radiation thermometer that is suitable for universal use for non-contact temperature measurement in thermometer protection tubes. Compared to the state of the art in radiation thermometers with high optical resolution, a greatly reduced design with the diameter of an M6 screw and an optically effective outlet opening of 3.5 mm is to be realised. Based on the extremely small detector chips to be developed in the project, the athermalised micro-optics and a miniature detector housing, miniature pyrometers are to be created for the first time whose measuring spot is largely independent of the measuring distance

The project is funded by the AiF Berlin (ZIM).
