ESTI: Energy conversion and storage using textile-integrated, precious metal-free, flexible dye-sensitized solar cells in combination with polymer batteries
Runtime: 01.01.2020 - 30.06.2022
The goal of the ESTI research group is to explore sustainable materials for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and organic batteries and to combine them into textile-integrated hybrid systems. The two components are to be converted into flexible, stable and application-oriented textile applications that can autonomously convert solar energy into electrical energy and at the same time store it efficiently and in a decentralized manner suitable for mobile use.
The project on which these results are based was supported by the Free State of Thuringia under the number 2019 FGR 0080 and co-financed by European Union funds within the framework of the European Social Fund (ESF).
