  • 2017 - now: Development of superconducting NbN nanowires for realisation of coherent quantum phase slip junctions. PI at Leibniz IPHT within EU flagship project „Quantum E-LEAPS“
  • 2016 - 2018: Research stays in Mongolia in the framework of SFB 1167 and DFG project “Karakorum – Geomagnetische Prospektion und topographische Vermessung der ersten Hauptstadt des mongolischen Weltreiches”
  •  2009 - 2010: Research stays in Mongolia in the framework of BMBF project “Geoarchaeology in the Steppe – Reconstruction of Cultural Landscapes in the Orkhon Valley, Central Mongolia”
  • 2006 - 2007: Part of joint research group with D-Wave Systems Inc., Canada. Topic: Thin film technology development at Leibniz IPHT clean room for first quantum computing processor “Cerberus”
  • 2005: Research stay in Peru in the framework of BMBF project Nasca-Palpa / New technologies for Archaeology
  • 2002 - 2003: Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Department of Physics, UC Berkeley, USA, Research field: Quantum computing with superconducting Qubits.
  • 1993 - 2002: Junior scientist at Institute for Solid State Physics, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Research field: Low temperature physics.
