Alternating droplet generation for ultrasensitive flow-through spectroscopy
in: Temporal Proceedings (2013)
In our contribution we report on the development of new operation units for alternating droplet generation at low flow rates, where the alternating droplet generation process is completely controlled by interfacial forces. The developed operation units are scalable and work reliable in a self-controlled and self-operated mode at droplet generation rates
down to 0.05 Hz (Only one droplet within 20 s) for surfactant stabilized and surfactant free fluid compositions. They are made from glass with the opportunity for replication with the injection compression moulding process for mass fabrication of disposables for application in microbiology and biotechnology.
