Amir Nakar is a PhD student at the Leibniz IPHT, with a BSc in Biotechnology and MSc in Biochemistry and Food Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Research: Characterization of Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria Using Raman Spectroscopy.

"Our focus is on Extended-spectrum β-lactamase and Carbapenemase producing Enterobacteriaceae (ESBL-PE and CPE) as these are the leading causes of hospital-spread infections and complications.

This multidisciplinary project brings together Molecular Biology and Data Science experts from the Leibniz IPHT and other collaborators abroad."
