I am the management specialist in the spinoff team of DeepEn and responsible for marketing, administration and business development.

The DeepEn team is working on the commercialization of hair-thin, holographic endoscopes. In neuroscience, these can be used in the future to produce images with the image sharpness of modern multiphoton microscopes from any depth in the brain (sub-cellular, < 1μm). This procedure is minimally invasive because the endoscope consists of only a single optical fiber (<0.1mm). Our first customers will be institutes conducting research on the living brain. In the long run, we aim at applications in medicine e.g. in diagnosis or treatment with light.

For the spin-off project we have received funding for the next 2 years (EXIST research transfer of the BMWi). The company DeepEn GmbH is to be founded in 2023.
