From September 15 to 18, 2024, international researchers and industry experts will gather in Jena, Germany, to discuss the latest developments in laser technology at the ESULaB 2024 conference. The event will focus on advances in the use of ultrashort laser pulses for spectroscopy and imaging in biomedical research.

Organized by the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (Leibniz-IPHT) in cooperation with Coherent, the conference will provide insights into innovative applications of light in medicine, especially in diagnostics and biophotonics.

Platform for Science and Industry

ESULaB 2024 will be an important platform where scientists and industry representatives can exchange information on advances in laser technology and light control. The program includes scientific lectures and poster presentations on topics such as innovative imaging methods for cancer diagnostics. For example, the use of femtosecond lasers enables real-time analysis of skin cells without invasive procedures.

Another focus of the conference is the study of biomolecules using ultrafast lasers and nonlinear interferometry. These technologies are not only important for cancer research, but also offer promising approaches in pharmacy and biotechnology.

In addition to the scientific presentations, the conference will offer numerous opportunities for discussion and networking to promote the exchange between research and industry.
